Homeowners Education Association (HEA) is a distributor of books related to residential construction guidelines and home maintenance guidelines. These books are written for builders, subcontractors, and homeowners.

HEA had an immediate need to move their store from a company that was shutting down. We had two weeks to complete the entire project including a total site redesign. The scope was no small task. The site had 125 cached pages on Google which required 301 redirects. These were found in their site, store and Wordpress blog. A new cart system was integrated into the site. Wordpress 3.0 was also integrated, making it easier for the client to manage. Although we don't typically take on projects with such a tight deadline, it was a favor for a friend. The project was actually completed a day ahead of schedule.

Advanced Power Projects (APP) is an up and coming green energy company that provides solutions to existing power plants. Utilizing their technology they augment their system to existing systems and repurpose hydrocarbons that would typically go into the atmosphere. This is their way to help slow green house gases by making existing power plants cleaner and more efficient.

Due to a small budget APP wanted to create a site that utilized a CMS that was easily manageable by their internal team. Joomla was the perfect choice. Their goal was to have a site that has video playback and flash examples of how their system works. The site had to display a lot of info in a minimal amount of space, keeping their home content above the fold.

This Esthetic services site was designed and developed for a husband and wife team. Their goal was to drive all their clients to a portal page that easily communicates their desired treatment. The client also wanted a content management system (CMS) that was easy to use, in order to make daily updates to the site without the requirement of a developer.

Once users entered the site, services are listed containing procedures available in the office. These new clients have the ability to view videos and ask questions about any service. The client data is stored in the database and an email is forwarded to the managing department making sure the appropriate doctor answers their question. Because of Dr. Sonya Bansal's notoriety on Channel 4 a flood of email comes in constantly which requires them to have another staff member filter out legitimate questions.

The owner of this site is a Stanford Graduate that found himself in a position where searching for a job was no easy task. It was cumbersome to have multiple locations to sign-up and post resumes. Then have written notes that can get misplaced. So he came up with an idea of creating an application that would allow job seekers one location to find jobs, save interview dates, and phone numbers. Also available is a social aspect where users can share their experiences at interviews and give pointers to other individuals that just happen to be looking for the same job.

Because the site owner is very technical he wanted a system that integrated all his media. So what I did was designed his site and integrated both Wordpress and PHPBB3 into the Joomla backend allowing one location to manage the site, support and blog, while having separate databases for all three.

Pinnacle Trading International required a Web presence for their business, in order to compete in the international market. The wanted a site that their venders can get updated information on the products they would be fulfilling. They also provide their vendors access to documentation about these products. The home page has a jquery scroller that displays products that are clickable to that location on the site.

Kickfire is a powerful parallel processing database content retrieval system that runs 100 times faster than any system available to market now. Their technology is solid which allowed them to be purchased by Talend. The site is no longer live. I believe Oracle missed the boat on that buy in.

Because Kickfire is built on Open Source Software, they wanted to keep with that model and use an Open Source CMS. We recommended Joomla.

The client already had a web presence with Google page ranking of 7 on pretty much every page of their site because of their business associations and PR on the internet. Their old site had 207 pages. So, what was very important in my mind was not losing that ranking after bringing up live their new site which would live in another server environment utilizing new page names. After creating their new site (Site and Wordpress) based on their brand all old URLs were pulled from the MySQL database and redirected to their new page names. This included site and blog URLs. The client never lost their ranking keeping them on top of their game.
